Job Description:

The Town Clerk / Treasurer will perform a variety of administrative and financial duties in the Town Hall Office and is responsible for accurately maintaining the official records of the Town. The Clerk/Treasurer oversees the Town’s operations under the direction of the Town Administrator, and must exercise considerable independent judgement and initiative. The Clerk/Treasurer plans, organizes, and manages town financial operations, including disbursement and accounting of municipal funds, billing, and preparation of monthly reports. Work is performed in accordance with established municipal procedures, local ordinances and Virginia general statutes.
